Cellular Tower technician

Frequencies Wireless Communications - December 2013 to Present

Tower lead climber - responsible for crew of 4-8. Coordinated routine activities and carry out installation, repair,

modification, optimization or acceptance test procedures of wireless infrastructures and electrical equipment.

Ensured job goals are met and completed within deadlines while meeting quality and safety expectations.

Climbing experience up to 500 feet. Extensive knowledge and experience with telecommunication equipment

installation, upgrades and maintenance on a variety of towers, including self-support, guyed, monopoles,

concealed and stealth (water tanks, rooftop) and support structures. Experience with heavy equipment, such

as cranes, bobcat and excavator.

o At&t microwave full site installations and trouble shooting. Ability to read prints and shoot azimuth, proper

rigging and de-rigging to raise and lower materials safely. Responsibly for assembling multiply different kinds

of microwave dishes of all sizes from 2 - 15 foot dishes along with all mounts and ice shields, stiff arms

and mounting of everything at proper RAD center, swinging/fine-tuning to proper RSL. Extensive experience

working with wave guide elliptical, fiber, cat5e, coax, familiar with wiring codes and all the connectors along

with grounding and weather proofing and testing of all lines. Also responsible for proper installation of indoor

and outdoor radios, cabinets, racks. And close out packages.

o LTE - full site install consisting of reading prints for correct assembly, rad center, azimuth and down tilt.

Assembling and mounting of antennas, mounts, platforms, stiff arms and squids. Civil work trenching laying

conduit, installation of ice bridge, ground ring, laying gravel foundation and mixing and pouring of concrete

pad. Installation of outdoor cabinets.

o US Cellular Decom - Decommissioning of lines, antennas and mounts. Removal of ladder racks, cabinets,

batteries, shelters and concrete pads.

Telecommunications Technician

Construction site, Lead Technician duties consisted of reading prints and planning out paths for structured

cabling throughout the site. Installations of data racks in closets and dressing/ terminations of cables running

Construction site, working with a cable pulling crew, main duties were to walk path ways, stager cables and set

up the pulls, read blue prints communicate with the team to insure where to pull to, walk out cables to ensure

proper length, dropping cable, and doing the back feed for the closet, doing daily paper work.

o Also worked in a termination crew, would be designated to areas of the building to terminate face plate and

test, verify the cables and the locations of every drop in the area. Fill out daily paper work and communicate/

repot and issues being short/ cut/ deleted, locations with project lead and fix/ resolve the issue.

o Closet crew, separating cable and back feeding cable into the closets in there correct bundles, dress cables

to the correct rack and patch panel. installing ladder racks, and data racks, securing patch panels

man cable pulling crew, responsible for structuring a daily work goals to meet, reading blue prints and pulling

low voltage voice and data, audio, video cables to desired locations for the entire building, installing cable

trays, sleeves, and J-hooks for pathways. Fill out daily paper work to communicate our daily production or any
